When measuring the opening where the Shoji will be installed, there are a few considerations to be taken.

Windows - The Shoji Screen can be mounted inside or outside of the window frame or covering. The measurements need to indicate whether they are inside or outside dimensions. Window frame depth also needs to be noted.

Walls - There are various nesting configurations of sliding and stationary Shoji Screen mountings. Sketch and measure the entire wall/opening from floor to ceiling. See the Hardware for Sliding Shoji Screens page for more information.
